“Stacy provided craniosacral therapy and other techniques from her vast storehouse of knowledge that had a great impact on the PTSD I'd acquired over time, having my car hit by another in several separate instances. This led to fear of driving.

Thanks to Stacy, my psycho-physical symptoms are nearly 100% alleviated, and there was a depth to the treatment that empowered me further in my own work.

She is a treasure.”

CranioSacral Therapy and TMJ

Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJ) affects a large number of people in this country.  Over the years, medical professionals have employed various methods to relieve the myriad of symptoms patients experience in the jaw, face, head, neck, upper back and shoulders.

Increasingly, CranioSacral Therapy, a gentle and non-invasive manual technique, is being used to alleviate the pain of TMJ.

And as an advanced practitioner, I have worked with those who suffer from TMJ pain to help alleviate symptoms ranging from jaw popping and clicking to lock jaw.

CranioSacral Therapy and TMJ: CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of the craniosacral system.  Working with this system and its connection to the musculoskeletal system, limbic system and other physiological functions, the body’s innate healing powers can be accessed; thus allowing the fuunction of the body to return to it's natural state.

In addition, CranioSacral Therapy balances the autonomic nervous system.  Balancing this system decreases muscle tension and provides people with TMJ with much needed relief from the on-going cycle of nervous system over-load, Trigeminal nerve stimulation, and jaw dis-function.

The focus of CranioSacral Therapy when working with TMJ is a full-body approach.  The TMJ compensates for all the rotations, compensations, and imbalances that radiate up from our feet and down from our head. In addition to gently working with the hard palate, other structural issues need to be addressed to allow full relief of TMJ pain.

Gentle work for those in pain:  whether you suffer from TMJ pain, neck & shoulder pain,  or any other physical discomfort, incorporating CranioSacral Therapy into your health plan can give you the relief you need.
