The Summer Stillpoint As We Move Into Fall

Wednesday, September 21st, 2011

Equinox, the last days of summerThe last few days of summer are upon us; those lazy days filled with sunshine yet sprinkled with the feeling of magic as Nature pulls us back into a state of balance — even if for just a moment.

I love this time of year. Maybe because I always notice Nature’s magic more so around the equinox. The energy all around me feels alive, and it doesn’t take much for me to “tune-in” at that level where energy and form seem to be dancing.

As we’ve been gearing up for the change of seasons, the energy has had an almost stillpoint-like quality to it; where we slow down enough to fully re-charge and come back into balance. After the hectic energy of the summer, we are getting the chance to hit the re-set button.

I’ve been in this odd state of stillness the last few weeks. Staying focused on my own energy and self care, I’ve been working at following my own energetic flow. It’s when I stay in that, that I feel the most connected now.

It’s a tricky thing to do, to operate from our own internal system; yet, I think this is what so many of us are learning to do these days. It takes directing the way that we reference ourselves back inward — away from other people’s needs and wants — and pointing those references back to our own divine line.

The way to do this is to get clear in your own energy. That takes a level of energetic awareness and knowing when you are operating from your Truth (or another person’s needs or desires).

To manage this trick connects us even more deeply to a slower energetic pace or inner flow. And with this slower, flowing energy comes time for more observation and clearer thinking. It’s slowed me down for sure, which feels good.

This slowness mixed with hints of energetic change that the season brings also has me asking, “What’s next?” Change is in the air. But the answers to that question can come slowly. That’s part of the magical feel right now, nothing needs to be rushed. All things in their right timing.

So for now? Stay with the slowness if you too are feeling it.

If not? Tune-in and see if you can begin to feel the shifting of the season…the pull toward a moment of balance where everything within can stabilize and guide you deeper into your own divine line.

The Fall Equinox: A Celebration as We Begin Our Journey Inward

Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009

Life has been busy lately, at least in my neck of the woods. As summer has been winding down, I’ve been aware that Fall is coming (at least here in the Northern hemisphere.) But I’ve been trudging along without giving it much thought.

Today I woke and realized that indeed, Fall is here! And I’m reminding myself that this transition time is the perfect time to step back and honor my own creations, my own “steps forward,” that can often get lost in my day-to-day hustle.

The autumnal equinox is one of those turning point days for me. It’s a quiet reminder to notice time passing. And with it usually comes an inner transition to begin a journey inward again. Yet there is still an energy of celebration and vitality that the summer months have held. And the energy that I feel today, as we begin our transition into Fall,  is one of true celebration. A celebration of life and the abundance around us — that we may not be taking the time to notice — as we each move through our own daily life.
