When energy shifts and changes, our bodies can certainly feel it. And often times, when tension arises out of the blue, looking to what is happening energetically can help explain what’s up.
Today feels like one of those days. I don’t know about you, but I was cruising along and then all of a sudden I became aware of way too much energy in my head.
Sometimes, when new waves of energetic information move into our systems it can really feel like there just isn’t enough room for it. At times it can feel like tension or a feeling of rigidity until our structure or our body’s tissue can expand, release and move into a new state of balance.
We have to expand to hold our expansive consciousness! And our bodies really do energetically open up and create space for new energy to move in and integrate.
Today what I am aware of is an expansion in and around the head and ears. It’s a shifting of the 6th chakra or 3rd eye. Perception is changing.
And the message I am getting is make room for this energy!
Although it may feel uncomfortable (if you are experiencing this energy as well), it’s a good thing. It’s an expansion.
But our bodies need to expand as well, both energetically and in those minute ways our tissue and structure shift to let in energy before moving back into a new state of balance.
The best way to support the body in this is to go into it and become aware of the tension.
I tell my clients all the time, it’s not about doing anything or having to change things. It’s about just meeting that energy with your awareness and attention. It will show you what is needed.
Your body, your tissue and the energy that is there will show you where and in what way it needs to expand, contract and shift as it processes and lets go of what is has know and integrates what is coming in.
The trick is to stay with the energy and follow where it takes you in your own body. In doing so you will open up the flow—making room for the energy. It’s a gentle way of working, and one that honors the intelligence of the body and the energetic flow.
