The Energy of 2012: Finding where comfort and safety lie.

Thursday, January 26th, 2012

We’re in a time of great change and transformation. With that comes a certain level of discomfort. If not…how would we grow?

But we’re also living in a time where we’re bombarded with messages of scarcity and trouble. There is fear about the change which is happening now all around us. Many of the structures we know are in a state of deep and radical change. All of this can create a level of fear that rests within our group consciousness that can actually hold us back, not to mention sending us into a state of worry over a lack of future comfort.

So how do we find an energy of comfort and safety within all the energetic fear and “noise”?

We reach for those higher vibrations.

In fact, I think this is an energetic theme for us right now…or a shared level of growth that we are “figuring out.”

I hear this almost every day, “Geeze, its crazy out there!”

It is a bit crazy out there. People are being opened up energetically and emotionally; resistance is high. And those who feel energy, or who are sensitive to it, can feel the fear.

The only way to move beyond that fear is to let go and tap into the higher vibrations. It is there, where we find comfort and fear begins to diminish. We find a place of safety when we get out of the denser energies and into a higher frequency of thought and experience.

It’s not a “put your head in the sand and ignore what’s going on” sense of safety. It’s more of a place of rising above the gripping fear and clatter that stops us from having some fluidity to create something new; for it is in these higher vibrational states (where our minds are clear) that we can find new answers. We find new ways of feeling safe in the midst of change. We begin to experience more, in what is simply present for us.

The funny thing is…to get there we must do what makes us feel unsafe most often…let go!

When we do find that flow and energy of comfort and safety, we need to be aware of when we may fall back into levels of fear that dip us into the noise and clatter of the denser energies that hold no inspiration.

Right now, that fear moves in quietly. We’re used to it, so we may not feel it. So keep an eye out for it.

When you find yourself reacting just a little too much, or feeling out of balance…check in. You may find fear trying to run the show. When you do, re-group, re-set and re-align to your higher vibration and the higher vibrations around you that can support you. There you will find where comfort and safety lie…and the mindset to move beyond the problems that once sent you hiding.

To hear more on this and a few other energetic themes of 2012, check out the recording of a recent Catch The Vibe Call I offered. it covers some of the energetic themes of 2012 and how to work with them!

See you in those higher vibrations!

When Healing for One Becomes Healing for All

Thursday, January 19th, 2012

Energy work is a mystery…no doubt. Even after 25 years now of doing this work I am still amazed each and every day as to how things unfold through the lens of energy.

For most people the whole idea of energy work is an unknown. People often poke it with a stick and then walk away shaking their heads because it is mysterious, unknown and oddly simplistically complicated. That may not be a real thing — simplistically complicated — but sometimes that’s the only way I can explain it.

Point in case: I do these energy healing sessions a couple of times a month. They’re called Expansion Calls, because I do them on the phone for as many people who want to be a part of them and people leave the calls with a seriously expanded level of energy!

I love doing these sessions. Over the years they have become a “10″ on the fun scale in my work. And why I love them so much is that they operate on that simplistically complicated energy level. We go from healing for one, to healing for all in less than 30 minutes.

That may seem like a complicated thing to do in such a short amount of time, but really all of the pieces begin to unfold and then tie themselves back up into a neat little “group” healing almost on their own accord.

You see, it’s a group thing. And there is energetic power in numbers.

I truly believe that when we each heal, we all heal. We are all connected. And somehow when we get to that deep level of individual awareness — that “Aha!” moment — we create an energetic alchemy within that resonates out into the field. That “Aha!” information becomes available for those who have their “energetic feelers” out  searching for the energetic information that resonates to their need. That collective energy gives you and me a level of information to go out and get our own “Aha!”

This connection or web of energy is so fascinating to look at when we are consciously and actively working energetically. And when we come together with the specific intention to heal or work energetically, that “Aha!” transfer happens so fast it will knock your socks off!

People often ask me how I do energy work for groups of people at the same time, as I do on these calls, because they get into some pretty specific energy and healing work. And that’s the simplistically complicated piece. It’s complex or “complicated” in the fact that there are a lot of players and we each have our own need and intention for healing which gets addressed. But where it becomes simple is in the fact that we hold a common intention to share our energetic know-how; creating a group energy where healing speeds up as we each “pick up” the “Aha!” from someone who has figured out just how to manage the level of healing they are working on!

And then healing for one becomes healing for all. It’s kind of like the 100th monkey thing after that first “Aha!” It spreads like the wind.

So here is my visual for you to hold on this one: imagine that when you are stuck or in need of some energetic know-how to move you along and get you out of a lower vibe into one that holds more pertinent information for you…send your energy feelers out into the unknown. Reach out for those vibrations — which are filled with information — and let your intuitive imagination begin to fill you up with the possibilities of new ways to do things or the possibilities of deeper awareness.

This may seem like a silly exercise, but really you are stepping into a conscious effort to connect to something that is in the field. And that intention will draw it to you whether you think its happening or not. And our intuitive imagination is a great playground to connect to new thoughts and unknown solutions.

Try it. Connect to the field with conscious awareness and play around there! See what you find. I bet you open yourself to a whole new level of “Aha’s!”

And if you want to get in on the Expansion Calls, please do. (The next one is on Jan. 24th) They are an inexpensive way to get some good energy work (sliding scale $25-$10), and you will join forces with some amazing and powerful people who, together, have said “Aha!” over and over and over.

See you out there!

New Year Intentions and the Hurry Up Already Syndrome

Sunday, January 8th, 2012

With January under-way, many of us are thinking about the direction of our lives or what we want for ourselves, our families and communities this year.

We may be setting new intentions, which of course lead us to making decisions to set us on those paths.

There has certainly been a lot of energy and focus on 2012. It has been a marker for many as a time for deep change. I think it’s going to be a big year. Already in my energy healing practice, I’m working with people taking big steps in changing things in their lives…and the energetic transformation that is needed to do so.

Over the last few years we have been in a process of accelerated growth. For some it’s been subtle. For others, it’s been much more shocking to the system. Either way, the transformation has been (and still is) about personal power.

We’re living more from the core, so to speak, and finding what moves us into action. Clarity of Self and living from purpose are key factors in raising our vibration and living in the flow right now. Both of these things take awareness and a willingness to step onto a new and most likely unfamiliar road.

If we are lucky we stay clear and present to the energy and we open up to the energetic flow we need to co-create a new reality. We can stay with the self-inquiry of, “What wants to be moving through me?” as we grow.

But, when the change is big, we often go into fear. We trigger some internal resistance which takes us down the road of avoiding or self-sabotaging our dreams.

Or we head toward the other end of the spectrum and we end up so focused on where we want to get to  — so intently — that we create an imbalance of longing and disappointment; which traps us outside of that wonderful place of flow where we receive what we are so longing for.

The pattern of resistance most of know all too well. It contracts us energetically and we have to step back and look at what is really going on in order to let go of old energetic patterns and emotional energy. To move beyond the “stuckness’ we have to let go of those old familiar ways of Being.

The pattern of longing and disappointment may be more subtle and may even go unnoticed. When we hear ourselves say over and over, “Why can’t I get this to happen,” this energetic pattern may be the culprit. I call this the hurry up already syndrome.

The energetic constriction comes when we are in longing, and holding on so tightly to creating, that we lose our receiving mechanism – thus the disappointment.

Energetically we get ahead of ourselves. This takes us out of our right-timing. It takes us out of receiving mode, and typically out of self care. We become energetically fixated and the energy stifles and contracts.

The way out of this is to come back to the question, “What wants to move through me?”

Rev. Michael Beckwith calls this type of inner questioning “visioning”. If you want to know more about this you can check out my post called “How to Boost Your Visualization Work. Envision First.

But, this simple question can be a great reminder for us when we are in resistance to what we want. It can help us find that discipline we need to sit down and do our work, especially when it feels hard to look within so deeply.

Asking ourselves this can also be a reminder of movement when we are holding on tightly.

It can remind us that there is indeed something beyond our mind that can guide us back into balance. The answers to this question may surprise you, when asked from a place of holding on too tightly. They often sound more like, “go play”, “laugh more,” or “go exercise.” (At least that’s what my Higher Self says to me!)

This can be confusing and even frustrating because you want so deeply! Your head may say, “How can I play when I am trying to get this to happen?!”

If you hear this type of thing…stop and do what your inner voice or Higher Self says! It may not seem logical to you at the time because it often is addressing the issue of self care, which gets thrown off when we get into the hurry up already syndrome. But doing what that deep inner wisdom asks of you will indeed help you get back into the flow and that right timing you need to receive.

The expansive nature of play is key to any kind of creative growth, especially when we find ourselves overly-focused on what we are trying to create. It can help us get out of a myopic energy pattern and back into the flow, reconnecting us to ourselves at that level of self care.

This level of self care is where we pay attention again to what inspires us and re-charges us in the moment vs what is out ahead of us. It is in this place that we can re-establish our co-creative energy.

So as you step into the changes you are creating this year — or they may have indeed already found you — look at how tightly you may be holding-on to what you are creating.

Most likely, the changes you are working on now have been coming for a while. We’ve been planning at deep levels for years (whether you are conscious of this or not), so you may indeed be ahead of your own energy. You may be in the “hurry up already” mode. If so, you know the question to ask yourself. And, you know what to do when you hear the answer of your heart.
