Here’s another Weekend Wondering for you!
There’s a whole lot of information out there about manifesting and the Law of Attraction. When it comes down to it… it’s all about vibration!
Here’s how I see it… in a nutshell:
- You need to match the vibration of what you want to create — to be able to energetically “hold” the thoughts, beliefs and ideas you desire — in your body, right down to your cellular level.
- Your thoughts and beliefs are vibration, and they get broadcast to the Universe.
- The vibe you put out comes back to you…even the negative or “less than” beliefs that your unconscious mind plays at random for the Universe to hear.
- And your inner work (which is key) is to keep clearing where you may be out of sync or resonance to the vibration you want to experience.
But there is also a vibration around how you connect or communicate to the Universe that supports (or creates havoc with) your creative ability. Think of it like your ”big picture” vibe.
This level of your own energy can really be a game changer when it comes to your creative potential and ability. And growth at this level is really the foundation of who you are and how you interact in the world. It’s often the deeper emotions at the core that feed into how the Universe responds to us. It mirrors our deeper experience of Self back to us at all times.
So the trick is to know how you relate to and communicate with the Universe itself!
I’ve been playing with this idea quite a bit lately, particularly around those things I am trying to create that hold a lot of charge. You know… the stuff I NEED to have happen to ease some level or fear or stress…the stuff I start freaking out about. This usually puts me into a level of doubt, or I start second guessing the Universe…and quite frankly turn into someone yanking on the Universe’s arm asking, “Did you hear me?…are you on it?…yikes!…come on, ack!”
And that, my friends is the problem!
A good friend once said to me, “When you order a sandwich at a restaurant, you don’t keep running to the kitchen and asking if they are making it…or checking if they are making it right…or asking when it will come!”
And what that means is, how we engage with the Universe counts.
We are in a co-creative relationship with the Universe, after all everything is connected, right? And when it comes to manifesting, how we show up to the overall conversation is just as important as how much we believe or feel we can have the particular thing we are trying to create. In fact…it’s the core of the issue!
And what I’m learning (even after all these years) is that I have a pattern around how I talk with the Universe that shows a level of distrust…even when I am in sync with what I am creating. The deeper energy of how I engage with the Universe reflects back to me what I am sending out. And my M.O. of not always being sure that it will show up, clogs everything up!
I’m always double checking, and following up or re-phrasing my desire or intention. And what I’m learning by paying attention to my overall way of communicating with the Universe (and probably some other folks too!) is to order my sandwich, and then hang out and enjoy the conversation at the table and think about yummy it will be when it arrives!
That’s my “sandwich” flow!
How are you showing up and talking with the Universe?
Do a little role play — a little theater of your imagination. You and the Universe are hanging out and you ask the Universe for what you want. Pick something that you may really need/want to happen, and then pay attention to how you speak the words.
Really do speak them aloud. What is the emotion you hold? What words to you use?
Do you meet the Universe as an equal or a good friend and ask without guilt, attachment or deadline? Or do you demand, corner or hound the Universe in some way.
Think about how you “manage” this request over time…as you wait. Do you change your game somewhere in the process? Do you start to doubt or get scared? Do you move on to something new without follow through…what’s your M.O.?
Really think about how your request is being received, and how willing YOU’D want to help if the roles were reversed!
I’ll be honest, there are times when I get into such a state that if I were “askee” in that situation, I’d roll my eyes and sure not want to help!
Yet when I can really meet the Universe as a co-creator, and speak to it through my thoughts and intentions in a way that supports a real trusting relationship, things begin to flow more.
Do some thinking, journaling or sharing with someone you trust and get real about how you are talking to the Universe!
Play around with this idea, and see if you find that there are times when you may whine and beg, or pester and prod the Universe which leaves you feeling less than or in victim mode. See if you can identify how you communicate. And then try out a new energetic stance as you engage with the Universe as a partner.
