Energy work can be a funny thing. It’s often not understood.
It can be some big mystery that people either fear, or something above and beyond that is held in some reverence. Energy itself can be seen as something beyond our control or something so much bigger than us, that we can’t ever be equal to it.
Yet when it comes to working with our own energy, if we hold any of these beliefs around a particular energy or form, we can lose our power and our ability to create the change we seek.
As an energy worker I do believe that all energy has an intelligence to it…a distinct level of energetic information within it that we can work with, and engage with, for our healing. And energy is a part of everything that is. It simply “is” with no hierarchy or particular pomp and circumstance associated with it.
I’ve been very mindful lately as to how I engage with my own energy. I’m focused on staying in “being” mode vs. “doing” mode, as this is how energy responds to us, all the while holding an energetic awareness around my own “knowingness” and acting as a co-creator with the energies I call in to work with.
Yet at times I catch myself engaging with energy from a distinct vibrational stance of less than the energy I’m trying to connect to. As if it is indeed bigger than me, or beyond me…or not me.
And I see this the most around the energy of money.
I’ve started really thinking about this. And I know I am not alone in this particular energetic conversation, as so many people have a relationship with money that produces results that leaves them wanting more or feeling less than.
But, if we really look at this concept of energy as information, and that there is an intelligence in energy and that we are indeed connected to all things on a vibrational level…then the vibrational aspect of money should (in concept) be our equal. And thus, we can engage with it as an equal co-creator.
Hmmm. Let that one sit for a minute!
Lately though, when I begin to work with my finances on an energetic level, what I’ve been catching myself doing is that I come to the conversation from an inferior position…feeling like I don’t have a lot of say or power in the conversation.
There’s an inner disparity between my energy and the energy I am working with. I feel smaller than…like I am looking up to an energy, instead of meeting it eye to eye.
The full vibration of money — as an elemental energy — is vast…yet when I engage with it from the perspective of a larger internal energetic stance, I can actually see it very clearly as “just” an energy and one that works with us in the same way that we can engage in all energetic conversations.
To get into the co-creative energetic conversation with the vibration of money, we must meet this energy face to face, eye to eye— as a co-creative peer to it. We need to come to the table in a place of energetic equality and a knowing that we are a creator…not waiting for something to happen as if we are too small or not part of the conversation.
So how do we do that?
To shift our internal perspective we need to understand where we are not matching the vibration we seek. So, here’s a way to play with the energy of money and your own energy to see how you can raise your vibration to the level of co-creator.
What if money was an energy represented by a person?
First off, what image pops into your mind? How do you personify this energy?
If you imagine yourself walking up to “Money” as this image, do you feel at ease? Do you feel worried? Do you feel less than? Are you apologetic in any way? Really think about how you are in relationship to “Money.”
Then imagine that you are at a table with “Money” — that image you conjured up — and you’re working out a plan for you around money and how to support the vision that is your life and the experience that is the most inspirational you can imagine…who runs this meeting? You? “Money?” Or, do you collaborate?
I know these may seem like a weird questions…but really, are you giving your power away to the idea (or energy) of money? Or can you begin to engage in an energetic conversation with money (peer to peer) where you can vibrationally hold the energetic information that you need to allow this energy to support you, without so much strain, fear, drama….or whatever you may have going on with your relationship with it now?
If you play this game, you may just find some new answers for yourself. But mostly what I think you may begin to feel is where you fall on the continuum for how you show up with money. And how you show up as your own energetic force in the world.
Can you come to the table as a co-creator? And by this I mean, showing up from a place of knowing who you are, owning what you need to be doing, and “being” that energy… really truly having the permission within yourself to engage with money (or any other energy) as an equal; to then be able to meet its vibration on all levels in the way you chose to. Or do you show up waiting to see who will take the lead?
Here’s what I know about energy. It responds to you. So do the inner energy work to take the lead and engage as the co-creator you are!
