I’ve been thinking about the energy that I’ve been aware over the past few days with people that I have been in contact with. As I took a deeper look at this, I realized that there is an air of overwhelm or exhaustion present in many people these days.
Sure, there is a lot going on in the world. We can say its the recession or resources aren’t available to us like they may have been in the past; and that we are tired by the circumstances of our lives right now. And although these are trying times, this energy runs a bit deeper. It feels almost like a soulful tiredness.
We, collectively, have been asked to step into change….big change at the level of our consciousness; which of course shows itself both within and outside of us. For many, we have been moving through the layers bit by bit for several years. This change is deep, and it requires us to really let go of the old ways that we hold which just don’t work for us as we step into the new-whatever that exact place is for each of us in our spiritual evolution.
What I do see with this is that the ante has been raise, things are speeding up. With this there is a bit of weariness, almost a sense of disheartening. The thing is though, these feelings of tiredness, overwhelm and helplessness with this process comes up when we get stuck in a place of fighting where we are.
In the world of energy and spirituality we hear a lot of the law of attraction and choosing a higher vibration. And although there is a choice, when we are in resistance or really need to work with a particular energy, this idea of “just choosing something better” is impossible when we are in the fight. What I’ve been hearing from people lately is that they are trying to choose where they want to be, but they are frustrated and quite honestly, exhausted.
Fighting against what is will exhaust you.
The way out is to go inside and see where you are, notice where your energy is invested. That’s the place to start. That’s the place to choose. And if you can let go of your judgment about this place for a moment, you will find that choosing this place moves you into your power. You stop fighting. Then and only then can you see what is there, heal it and then make the next best choice. Resisting it will only take you into a struggle and wear you out.
Lean into it. Embrace it for a moment. I know that this is a scary choice as we fear we may get stuck where we don’t want to be. But if you hold the intention that you are there to heal, then you won’t get stuck. Move into it, let the place where you really are express itself. But chose this place and stop the fight. Listen with heart when you are there and the answer will come to move yourself along your path. And the beauty is…then you get to really chose something else, as you are no longer energetically tied to where you were.

About Stacy

Stacy, what a beautifully honouring & thoughtful article. I appreciate your ability to mindfully & compassionately consider a person’s truth & struggle.
I have ‘known’ more recently that pain comes from the resistance to what is & that often the best way to connect with & allow what is is through resting & listening to my feelings through a felt sense in my body.
I feel that our soul speaks first in gentle whispers to our heart intuition or as opportunities & challenges in our lives but then when it really needs our attention it gets physical & manifests as ‘symptoms’ & feelings in the body. Then it is really time to listen.
I resonate with your perception of this being a malaise of our current time & culture & embrace the opportunity to guide others back to their soul path, learning again its language & walking with it, hand in hand on the path of life.
Blessings on you & your valuable work.

Well said. I just read a book that has a huge section about resistance, The War of Art, by Steven Pressfield.I also think of the Serenity Prayer…it begins acceptance. Thanks Stacy!
