Has anyone else noticed that life has been a crazy ride lately?!
I don’t know much about astrology, but when I notice my life, and my client’s lives, going a bit topsy-turvy I usually check in and ask just what’s up with the stars. Secretly I’m just making sure I’m not the only one who bought the e-ticket!
Happily, I can say, I am not alone in the crazy changes that have been going on since the Solstice in June…and neither are you.
What I have learned over the last 20 years or so (and again the past week) is that you can hang onto dear life on this ride, or let go and stick your arms up over your head and go for it. You can even let out a woot and a holler every now and again. The latter option is called letting go. We don’t always do this very gracefully. Most of us go kicking and screaming. (Trust me; I’ve done my fair share of kicking and a screaming on my path!)
Chances are, if you’ve noticed things in your life changing—emotions rising up and old patterns coming out of the dark—then you are being asked to take a step into what’s next in your life. That can be a scary request, and one that takes deep commitment to fulfill. But, when you do, the reward is always greater than the fear that may be holding you back.
And, if you’re like me, you may have been looking at the request being made of you and wondering if there is an escape route. Luckily the tides are shifting and the ride isn’t looking so scary today. Perhaps it’s the astrological winds changing some, but for me there is now a strong relief in moving into that next place, and a strong commitment to assisting others in getting to their next place as well.
It has taken commitment to self to get there, and I want to pass on a few healing suggestions if you are still feeling the water rise deeper and deeper around you.
- Stop and breath. Take a moment and go into your body and just breathe…in and out-from your heart.
- Think about this idea: you are not alone in what you may be feeling. Step back for a moment and see if you can envision the bigger picture at hand. We, all of us, are moving into a new way of being. You see this as a personal change, a social change or a deep spiritual change. I believe that it’s all of the above. Try that thought on. Sometimes recognizing that we are part of a bigger picture can give new meaning, power and insight to our commitment.
- Look at your personal experience through the lens of old patterns. Energetically speaking, what I am seeing with just about everyone these days (including me) is that what we are doing is letting go of old, core patterns that no longer serve us. So again, step back and see the situation from this lens, versus looking at any situation at face value. If you do that, your healing will move to the level where it is needed.
- Don’t be afraid to go there. Truly all you need to do is go there. Give those old patterns and fears a voice. Listen to them and ask what they need. Spend some time with that part of you. Maybe it needs to be nurtured into present time. Or maybe it just needs a voice. Do some journaling, let it speak. If this old pattern has a current, more powerful and productive counterpoint…find that energy and let these two parts of you interact. Let what wants to emerge, emerge.
There is a huge gift in what each of us goes through, even though struggle may be present. But the more that we can each let go and stick our arms up over our head as we reach the tipping point in our personal change, the more quickly we can move through the struggle into ease.
So stick your arms up high right now. Go ahead and let out a huge “AHHHHH,” and know that when the ride ends this time that we will all be in our next place…which is just where we need to be.
And please, feel free to share your experience in the comments section below. I know that this particular ride has been seating many!
