Listen to Your Energy…It Knows What You Need

Are you listening to your energy when it says ‘YES” or “NO”? Do you know when it say yes or no?!

Our energy system is an incredible feedback system. Learning to tap into this and read your own energy can be a great source of information for you. And, it’s as easy as asking yes or no. There are tools that you can work with to help you with this as you learn to follow the subtle changes in your energy when you ask questions. The answers that you get can direct you in your healing and clarify questions with amazing simplicity.

The Yes or No Question
Our energy locks in and grows in strength when it says “Yes!”  With a “yes” everything lines up. Energetically speaking, our energy grid is solid; our energy is flowing as it should. Our muscles will even hold strong when tested (more on that to come later). And when your energy says “no”…that can be seen and felt energetically as well.

When something negative—something that doesn’t enhance our health or harmony— is placed within our energetic field, our electrical grid which is contained in and around us weakens. It responds by short-circuiting. With this, our energy feels scattered. Energetically there’s a disconnect—it really is like there is no connection to the flow of energy. When something is healing for us, the opposite is true. Our energy holds true, it shines!  This energetic reaction, if used to assist you in determining what is good or not so good for you, can be very revealing.

All of this is really the premise of working with pendulums, dowsing rods and kinesiology. These are all ways to read your energy. A pendulum or rod will swing one way to show you your energy in strength (”yes”), and another to show you energy in dis-array (’no”). Your muscles will also “lock in” when the energy is showing strength.

If all of this sounds a bit “out there”, give it a try. Here are some ways to use a few tools to test this out. I’ll even show you a way to use your own body—no other tools needed—to play with this idea!

Kinesiology — Muscle Testing
For many, kinesiology is not a new term. What it is, is a form of using muscle testing as a primary feedback mechanism. It’s easy because it uses your electrical system and your muscles. If you’ve been to a  holistic practitioner who uses this, its when they ask you to stick out your arm and resist the pressure. When that electrical impulse (energy) stays strong and your arm holds strong…that’s your “yes.”  When it short-circuits itself and the muscle goes weak…that’s your “no.”

You can do a muscle test to check food allergies, weaknesses in the body or to get feedback on just about anything. It’s a quick way to gain discernment when your mind wants to take over and cloud the issue. For your questions which you can interpret on your own, you don’t need the practitioner or another to help you test. You can test using the muscles of your fingers.

Muscle test step 1

Start by touching your thumb and pinky together. You can use either hand. You’ll be using the other hand to try to spread these two fingers apart.

Muscle test step 2

Muscle test step 3Taking your other hand, slip your fingers inside the “loop” you created. And then ask your energy to show you “yes.” Gently spread the fingers of the hand inside the loop while asking for “yes.” No need to work at this, even a subtle movement will show you what you need. When asking for yes, see if that loop can hold strong. Then ask to see “no” and see if the loop opens up some or feels weaker. Sometimes this is a very subtle difference so try it out a few times…test it by asking some questions you know the answers to!

If you get the knack of this it can be a great tool for discerning what you need at any given moment. You can test for just about anything! Don’t be surprised it this runs counter to what your mind says. Even if you have an idea about something or feel a particular “charge” about something, it doesn’t mean it is always bad for you. Everyone is different too, so what may not be good for one is ok for another. If you want to know if that cup of coffee or that piece of chocolate is OK for you, test it out!

Pendulums
If you’re like me and question if your fingers moved or not when muscle testing, you can try a pendulum. It’s really pendulum2the same premise. The pendulum reacts to your energy—it acts like an antenna and amplifies the energy it is connecting to. As you ask the question, your energy shifts and the pendulum simply reads that energy by moving in a particular direction.

So you can test this by holding the pendulum and asking it to show you “yes” and “no.”  See if it swings in different ways for these questions. Working with a pendulum is easy, but does take some practice. And again, the movement may be subtle so listen to it carefully! And for some, the pendulum will swing in a circle, for others side to side or back and forth. Go with what works for you!

Using Your Body
For me, I use pendulums, but at times I’m just a bit too self conscious to break out the pendulum when in public! So I’ve learned to use my own body and energy flow to get answers.

You can try this standing up or sitting. Get centered and ground your energy. Then ask your body to show you “yes.” What happens? You may feel your body move forward or backward, or you may feel an internal shift. Take note, and then ask your body to show you “no.” Again, what happens?

You can check this by asking some questions like, “Is my name _______” and state your name.  Then ask a false question, and see what your body does.

I feel a particular pulling of my energy with each response, and have come to learn that this energetic pull, so to speak, is a true indicator for me. So try it out…maybe it will work for you!

All of these are just tools to help you become better aware of your own energy. You know what is best for you, but often our minds or egos want to run the show. Our energy however, is a tried and true friend! It won’t lie. But here’s the rub…if you ask, you will be expected to act accordingly. If you aren’t going to follow your own inner guidance, don’t ask!

Have fun!
