Consciously Creating 2009—Follow the Cycle of the Seasons

The first time I heard someone say that our natural cycles—how we follow the flow of nature—is off or disjointed from the Gregorian calendar we follow, I wasn’t really clear on just what that meant. But over the years I’ve been getting a much clearer sense of this.

Just recently in a conversation, someone I know said that all the shifts in energy that we are experiencing these days are actually increasing that schism. We’re moving further and further from what our natural cycles need to be, as we time our lives around the calendar we operate from.

What I’ve come to understand over time as I’ve looked at this, is that as the energy coming onto the planet from the stars and beyond is changing vibrationally from what we have experienced in the past (quite dramatically). We need more than ever to be connected to the natural cycles of the Universe to help support us in processing this, Yet, most of us are not connected, despite the fact that our biology is shifting ever so slightly to hold this. Having a way to connect to the flow of energy, and a cyclical way to process the deepening of this understanding, seems vital at this point in time.

Long ago, we followed the cycles of Nature. The Spring Equinox was (and for many still is) considered the beginning of the cycle. Spring would be the time to mark the New Year. The winter would be a time of contemplation and completion. The time up to the Winter Solstice is a highly intuitive and thus meditative time of year. Having just rounded the corner from that ourselves, our natural cycle—if we’re really following the energy that is present all around us—is that of completion and contemplation; not so much the “been there, done that, ready to move on” energy we are faced with in our society!

Many of us use the New Year to shed the past and move on making plans for the future…ah those resolutions! Yet the energy we feel, consciously or unconsciously, begs us to hold off just a bit longer and spend this time to really finish what we intended for ourselves in the seasons past.

Really, truly completing something is an energetic process. It’s a means for us to disconnect our energy from the creative process we’ve undergone and set it free. It’s a way for us to fully move into present time and assess the wisdom of our creations. And then, and really only then, are we able to create a-new with our full life-force.

So much is changing in our world right now. The energies are shifting at an accelerated rate. But I do feel that many of us have an understanding of this at some level and realize how much our world needs to change in a short amount of time. Hierarchies are changing, and with this, individuals can hold equal power for greater change. Knowing that you and what you create holds and equal power to all other creative energies, doesn’t it makes sense to be fully invested and connected in your creative energies and to know that what you are creating is in alignment with the greater good?

How do we do that?

I think the first step is to not rush the process. Allow yourself the time now to complete, to reflect and to bring your energy into present time. In doing so you will gain a clear understanding of where you want to go next.

With the Spring Equinox, set those intentions for what you want to create—for yourself and the world. Identify those with a solid, clear intention. And then, as we move through the cycle, let those be birthed at the Summer Solstice. Weed out any part of those ideas that that aren’t working in the fall, and then of course in the winter you are back to your inner reflection time—deepening your understating of self and your impact on the Earth.

As you can see, that cycle is very different than what the average person in our society moves through in a given year. I feel this separation or schism from Nature most profoundly this time of year as we are faced with the New Year and post holiday hangovers. And, because of this, more and more I choose to consciously connect to the cycles that speak to my energetic needs more so than what society is asking of me.

I can hear the cry of people wanting their change NOW! And certainly change happens all around us at all times. But working with the inherent cycles that our energy-bodies can process can make our individual creativity flow in a more cohesive way.You will see change as long as you stay connected to your inner Truth, your energetic integrity and follow the path they reveal.

If this resonates for you, take some time now to reflect. Pay homage to your creations from 2008. What did you learn as a Spirit. What can you complete now and truly let go of in order to free up your energy for the Now! Listen to your voice within and move through the season with intention. What you create from that will be amazing!

Hello, This is actually a comment about your meditations, but since that page does not have a comments section, this blog about the shifting/speeding up of energy (and to me that intensifies the value of meditation) seemed the logical place to add the comment.

For anyone who has not yet tried either of the meditations posted to this site, I highly encourage you to take the 8 or 10 minutes out of your hectic days and try them out. They are easy to follow along with, and profoundly relaxing. Thanks!
